in prada’s fashion show, this fur was used as monumental decoration pieces. to contrast that, i started photographing small, slightly altered pieces of fur from very close up. In the images, the fur looked very precious and really spoke to the imagination.
to enhance that feeling, i made them even more detailed. i treated them like jewelry and added tiny strokes of paint and sometimes gold dust. they started to resemble tropical birds and insects, their shape, vibrant colors and the incredible details in their patterns.
